VGCM was established
in 2006 as an agency for the development of contemporary arts practice
and creative businesses. Divided between artist representation, business
development and arts education consultation, VGCM blends business acumen
with an in-depth understanding of individual practise and the broad
cultural scope of contemporary culture.
VGCM current portfolio includes: Simon Boswell's
'Blink', worldwide Artist Agent for John Squire, worldwide agent
for groundbreaking digital and light artists KMA Media,
worldwide agent for Gina Czarnecki and Artist Agent for Edwyn Collins Art.
VGCM Ltd provide a broad range of cultural consultancy services,
including curatorial, art and entrepreneurship, development of
contemporary art collections in museums, cultural business development,
collection development, production and project management. Previous
clients have included: Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter, Herbert
Gallery & Museum, Coventry, The Smithfield Gallery, London,
The Photographers Gallery, London, The University of Gloucestershire
and Birkbeck College London.
Vivienne Gaskin was the Contemporary Art Society Centenary Fellow
in 2010, working with the Herbert Gallery and Museum, Coventry
on developing their contemporary art acquisition and curating strategy.
Vivienne
Gaskin is an internationally recognized curator with over sixteen
years experience. Former roles have included: Director of Live
and Digital Arts at the Institute for Contemporary Arts in London
and Head of Artistic Programme and Education at the Centre For
Contemporary Arts, Glasgow,
